Davies makes return to Potteries
The former Middlesbrough trainee, 24, sustained a hamstring strain during North End's 1-1 draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.
His loan was due to expire after this weekend's home clash with Coventry but he has now returned to the Britannia Stadium.
Davies made a total of five appearances for Alan Irvine's promotion-chasers.
