Davies was released by Bolton in the summer after 10 years of service at the Trotters. He is now looking for another local club to end his career and is in discussions with a number of clubs.
He visited Deepdale yesterday but no decision has been made by the frontman until he has had the chace to talk to all potential suitors although it is hopeful a deal will be tied up soon by one of the clubs.
