Cort could make his case

Preston defender Leon Cort could give boss Phil Brown a timely boost for the clash at Millwall.

Cort has missed the last eight matches due to a hamstring problem, but will definitely travel to London and could be included in the matchday squad.

Fellow defender Sean St Ledger, out for five games after sustaining a knee injury during training last month, remains sidelined.

Striker Paul Parry could return to the squad after he missed last Saturday's 3-1 win over Sheffield United as his wife gave birth.

Defender David Gray remains a long-term absentee after fracturing his leg.

Brown's side have collected 13 points out of 18 available from their last six matches and last Saturday's win lifted them to within four points of safety with four games remaining.
