Clarke Returns To Rangers

Leon Clarke has cut short his loan spell at Preston and has returned to parent club QPR citing personal reasons for his return. Clarke signed on loan in January until the end of the season along with Nathan Ellington and Eddie Johnson. Clarke was the first of the three strikers to score with a goal against Watford. The frontman failed to make a huge impact and has not featured since the defeat to Burnley. Whilst Ellington has been used as an impact player and Johnson filling a void on the right wing, Clarke has been left on the sidelines and out of the squad thanks to the form of Iain Hume.
