Chris Brown Released
Preston have confirmed that Chris Brown has been released by the club after failing to agree a new contract. Preston offered the striker a new deal on reduced terms but the frontman has decided to take his chance and look elsewhere. Phil Brown wanted his namesake to stay but due to finances only a reduced terms deal was offered. The manager is expecting to have Neil Mellor back in training as he has so far failed to agree a deal with Sheffield Wednesday after spending last season their on loan.
