Chilvers salutes North End defence

A run of five games without a win was halted by a 2-1 victory at Hillsborough in their Championship clash on Tuesday night. And Chilvers has put their success down to renewed strength at the back. He told the club's official website: "The most important thing was being more solid and showing more than we did on Saturday and we knew it was going to be a tough place to come to considering some of their results this season. "We knew they were going to come at us earlier on and I think they did, they threw everything at us and I think by the skin of our teeth we kept everything out. "But we did well and hit them on the break and whenever we got the ball down and played a bit, like in the second half, we caused them a lot of problems and some people would say we were lucky but we worked so hard that I think we deserved it."
