Chilvers boost ahead of Albion test

Chilvers was replaced during the second half of Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat against Reading after picking up a dead leg, although Irvine said: "I would expect he will be okay for Saturday." The North End boss could ring the changes after a dismal first-half display against the Royals but he will again be missing a trio of players through injury. Left-back Callum Davidson is ruled out for several weeks with a torn hamstring and midfielder Barry Nicholson remains a long-term absentee with a broken leg. Winger Paul Parry also tore a hamstring in the recent 2-0 home win over Swansea and will remain sidelined too.
