Carter Stirring Interest

08 June 2010 08:52
Darren Carter admits that his year years at Preston is coming close to an end but with one year left on his contract Darren Ferguson transfer listed the inconsistent midfielder. Carter who has played in the Premier League and joined North End from West Brom has failed to impress under successive managerial regimes from Paul Simpson to Alan Irvine and now under Darren Ferguson. He is surplus to requirements after failing to nail down a regular first team spot under any of the managers he is played for but is attracting interest from other Championship clubs Reading and QPR. Nothing is likely to change prior to the start of pre-season but deals are likely to be done closer to the start of the season and it is hoped that Carter will be moving on to another destination.
