Carlisle was found guilty, being twice the legal limit and driving without due care and attention. He was given a ban for 20 months which was reduced to 5 months due to the fact he agreed to take a drivers rehabilitation course.
The dfeender had been out at a casino drinking and went to find his car at 1am in the morning. He could not find his vehicle and reported it as stolen to the police. An officer attended and Carlisle continue looking. At around 7am Carlisle found his vehicle and believed the alcohol had left his system. He got into his car and was stopped by the very same officer. He was twice the legal limit.
