Reports in East Lancashire suggest that Burnley are set to pursue their interest in Keith Treacy with an improved offer for the Irish international. All seemed to have gone quiet on the Treacy front withthe international returning to pre-season trainign after Burnley had an initial bid of £850,000 rejected for the winger at the start of the summer. With Burnley casjing in on Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears to the tune of £3m, Eddie Howe now has cash to spend and needs a winger for the start of the season. Treacy is valued at £1.5 million by North End and despite Brown not wishing to sell the player, if the price is right, the move will be sanctioned.
