Brown wins Fergie acclaim
Preston boss Darren Ferguson has hailed defender Wayne Brown following his impressive return to form.
The centre-back struggled during the opening weeks of the season following his summer move from Leicester.
However, he has showed signs of being back to his best recently and was outstanding in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Cardiff.
Ferguson said: "Wayne Brown is now getting to the fitness that we need him at.
"In the last two games he has been outstanding - that's why we brought him to the club.
"He had been chasing his tail but he is getting fit now. We have worked with him and he has worked very hard on his own with the fitness work and he is showing what he is about."
