Brown Targets Five Wins

15 April 2011 21:29
It has been five years since Preston won five matches in a row when Billy Davies took his Preston side to a fourth place finish in the Championship. This Preston side is far removed from the side that Billy Davies built but they have to win all five remaining games of the season to go past the 50 point mark which the experts say is the benchmark for survival. Brown maybe reluctant to say so in public but four wins and a draw may well keep his charges in the division whilst landing them just short of the 50 point mark. Crytsal Palace and Doncaster are the teamsm to catch but Preston will be looking to gain some momentum going into the Easter programme as they face bottom of the table Sheff Utd whilst the teams directly above them play each other and Doncaster have a tricky game. It may well be too little too late but if one thingis for sure then Phil Brown will not be giving up - after all it will either be the fat lady singing or the tanned one himself giving us a karaoke classic should it all end well.
