The 24-year-old marked his first start of the year with the opening goal in Monday's victory and the striker is now focusing on Saturday's clash with fellow promotion chasers Cardiff, with his side hot on the heels of sixth-placed Burnley. "It (Doncaster) was a must win game," he told Preston's official website. "If we'd got beat we would have been seven points behind Burnley with nine to play for. "But now we're still fighting and breathing down their necks and Saturday's going to be a good game now," Brown must wait and see whether his goal will see him retain his place in Alan Irvine's side for the game, but he is putting the team's needs before his own. "It's always nice to get a goal but the main thing is we're back in with a shout now," he said. "We'll keep plugging away, we're four points behind and everyone's confident."
