Preston boss Phil Brown believes winger Keith Treacy is capable of making the grade in the Barclays Premier League.
The Republic of Ireland international underlined his class with a superb brace in Saturday's 3-1 home win over fellow strugglers Sheffield United.
The result encouraged hopes North End can beat the drop and left Brown in no doubt as to what Treacy can go on to achieve.
"Keith Treacy had a big bearing on the game and he has got to understand he is good enough to play Premier League football," said Brown.
"He has to work harder at his game but if we can get enough ball to him, he can produce at this level."
