Brown highlights Treacy impact

Preston boss Phil Brown believes winger Keith Treacy could play a key role in the club's fight against relegation.

Treacy was forced to pull out of the Republic of Ireland squad last week and has been receiving treatment on a knee injury. Yet despite doubts surrounding his fitness, Brown is keen to see more of Treacy after he produced a fine assist for Leon Clarke's goal in Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Watford.

Brown said: "Keith's fitness levels are not the best at the moment but he is still a top assist maker at the football club; he is still a top scorer at the football club at the moment.

"If we can get our best players out there regularly, then we will start winning games of football, I am confident of that."
