Brown facing massive task

Preston boss Phil Brown has admitted he faces a huge challenge to rescue the club from relegation to League One. North End are rock-bottom of the Championship and have yet to win since Brown took the helm last month. Saturday's 4-0 thumping at home to Bristol City left Brown's men 10 points adrift of safety. "It's a big job, a big challenge," said Brown. "As I said when I first arrived, the sooner that first win comes the better. "We've got a group of players that do get down when they lose a game but they got the draws against Middlesbrough and Leicester City and I was buoyed by the fact that they had a never-say-die attitude and a response to adversity but, on Saturday, that wasn't there."
