Preston boss Darren Ferguson has paid tribute to defender Wayne Brown following his return to peak fitness and form.
The centre-back struggled during the opening weeks of the season following his summer move from Leicester.
However, he has showed signs of being back to his best recently and was outstanding in Saturday's 1-0 home win over fellow strugglers Ipswich.
Ferguson said: "We've done a lot of fitness work with him - he's more or less fit now and we are seeing why I brought him to the club.
"He's a leader, he'll head things, clear things, put his body on the line and I though him and Leon Cort were outstanding on Saturday."
