Brown eager to play a part

Preston defender Wayne Brown would "love" to be involved in Saturday's trip to derby rivals Burnley. The centre-back has yet to make his competitive debut since joining North End on a free transfer from Leicester in the summer. He tore a calf muscle during pre-season training and has been a frustrated spectator in the stand since. Yet Brown told Press Association Sport: "I trained all last week and should get another week's training under my belt. "I might be lacking match practice but the only way you get that is by playing games. "It's been a frustrating time for me so far but I'm feeling good and would love to play some part on Saturday against Burnley."
