Brown down about fitness

Preston defender Wayne Brown has admitted his frustration at being reduced to the sidelines so far this season. The centre-back has yet to feature for North End since joining from Leicester in the summer due to hip and calf injuries. Having resumed training, Brown is edging closer to full fitness and could come into contention for next weekend's derby clash against Burnley. Brown told the club's official website: "It has been a frustrating time for me because I have had a couple of injuries since I have been here. "It is never nice being injured as a footballer - it is the worst thing about being a footballer. "So it was just nice to get back out there with the lads on the training field. I'm just desperate to get back out there on the pitch and make an impression."
