The 27-year-old made 78 appearances for the Hornets, scoring five goals, after arriving from Rotherham in 2007. Williamson, who spent the end of last season on loan with Preston, has opted to move back to Yorkshire despite the arrival of Malky Mackay as manager at Vicarage Road. "Negotiations for Lee's transfer have been at an advanced stage for some time and he expressed his desire to leave Watford regardless of the future situation regarding the manager," chief executive officer Julian Winter told the Hornets' official website. "With only one year left on his contract it is also a good deal for Watford, so the decision was taken to complete the transfer."
