Blackburn lifted the Lancashire Senior Cup thanks to a penalty shoot out victory over the Whites this afternoon. Phil Brown said that he would be starting to shape his side for the opening game of the season against Blackburn and ten out of the starting eleven completed the game. Roy Carroll completed his second ninety minutes for the club as the golakeeping situation is still up in the air. Trialists Maclean and James also featured at the back. Hume scored the equaliser for North End but the inexperienced Blackburn side won the penalty shoot out 3-1 to life the trophy in the final that was delayed from last season.
