It was a good work out for Grayson's men as he fielded a different side in each half. Norht End took the lead through Cummins in the first half before a Byrom free kick sealed the game in the last minute.
The only concern of the night was Stuart Beavon who had to go off injured in the second half leaving Preston to play the remainder of the match with ten men.
