All the goals came in the first half as Preston managed a second victory in two days against local non-league opposition. Goals from McLellan and Proctor saw Preston through to victory after conceding an early goal. Phil Brown fielded a very youthful line up in both halves of the game with very few first team regulars featuring throughout.
