Away Day Point For Preston

06 November 2010 17:16
Two low placed teams met at Ashton Gate as Preston travelled to take on Bristol City. The Whites have seen some improvement this season on their travels and today they picked up another point which means they lie one position above the drop zone by the tightest of margins. Jon Parkin came back in after suspension but it was strike partner Iain Hume who scored to give Preston an early lead with only two minutes on the clock. We all know that Preston find it difficult to keep clean sheets and the same was proved again today as Preston failed to clear a cross. It is disputed who actually got the final touch between Elliott or a Jones own goal. Throughout the game both sides hit the woodwork. Preston with Jon Parkin look very attacking and with a further two home games this week against teams in thebottom half they will look to kick on and try to push up the table.
