Away Day Blues Continue

Preston have won only four times away from Deepdale in the League in the last 18 months and this has been a huge part of the club's downfall which needs halting if Phil Brown is to have any success. Today was no different and showed the uphill task that Brown has ahead of him for next season. Debuts were given to Devine and Leather in defence but Preston conceded early to Jason Scotland before Norris doubled the home side's lead before the break. Middleton and Proctor came off the bench but Brown is going to have to work hard with the youngsters if they are going to hit the ground running in League One. Paul Coutts has had an injury prone season but pulled one back in the second half and he could well feature next season after he played ahead of Darren Carter who was on the bench. It was hardly surprising that Preston went down to a defeat and with two of their four last league away wins against Peterborough and Scunthorpe, Preston may well find it hard to even get points away from home in League One.
