A Clean Sheet - We Kept A Clean Sheet!

Preston changed their back four once again but this time it paid off as they kept only their second clean sheet of the season against Milwall. Leon Cort made his debut alongside Wayne Brown with De Laet on the left behind Pugh and fellow loanee Tonge started on the right. Preston started the brighter but could not find a breakthrough. Hume had the ball in the back of the net but was adjudged to be offside in a tight call. Preston had Lonergan to thank for staying in the game as he made a magnificent one handed save in the first half to deny the visitors from a free header. How the game remained goalless is anyone's guess as both sides had chances. Preston looked slow at the back but Millwall just couldn't find that killer touch. Preston had their moments but couldn't fashion anything to claim all three points. The Whites now head to Cardiff in what will be a difficult match as the two teams are at the opposite ends of the table.
