Nuno Gomes has been playing for Portugal since 1996 and has scored 29 goals in 79 appearances for his country.
Gomes netted four times in three appearances at the competition in 2000.
He also scored once again at Euro 2004 and also once against Germany in 2008.
While he has not scored for his country since that goal at Euro 2008, he still has outside chance of making the squad for 2012 and adding to his tally.
