Portugal winger Luis Figo is desperate to crown his illustrious career with success in the World Cup in Germany.

The 33-year-old Internazionale ace was part of his country's 'Golden Generation', but has yet to taste international glory and accepts that this summer's World Cup may be his last opportunity.

He said: "Every game could be my last. I'm not eternal.

"We have made fantastic progress. Our first objective is to win against England. We cannot think about being champions if we don't beat England.

"It is an important game for us and England. It is a great honour to be in this position right now."

"We are showing a great mentality in this competition. We have got to beat England in all ways. They have a great mentality, but we have to be better than that mentality if we want to win.

"We respect England. They have a very good team. These kind of games are decided by small things.

"It is most important to concentrate and not make so many mistakes."
