Betis face Ricardo exit

Portugal international goalkeeper Ricardo seems set to leave Real Betis this summer, with a move to England back on the cards.

The 32-year-old only moved to Spain a year ago, but is thought to be attracting interest from Manchester City.

Ricardo's agent, Nuno Baptista, commented: "Some clubs have asked about his situation and I'll endeavour to ask that in the coming weeks, because Ricardo wants to relax ahead of Euro 2008.

"Ricardo has always been interested in playing in the Premier League, but Sporting Lisbon never accepted offers for him to leave."

Ricardo made his name in his homeland with Boavista and Sporting, while he has also been first-choice for his country for the last four years, helping Portugal reach the final of Euro 2004 and the semi-finals of the World Cup two years later.
