Pompey's academy defeated Barton at Fratton Park to set up a FA Youth Cup third round tie with Southampton.
Lewis Horsburgh scored early in the game with the home side wasting more opportunities to ensure victory but were barely troubled at the other end of the pitch and saw out the game to win the second round tie.
A trip to St. Mary's now beckons for the academy and you can bet there will be a bumper crowd for that game. No date has been announced as of yet but the game has to be played before Saturday, December 21st and it will most likely be played on a Tuesday night.
I wonder if Hampshire Police will enforce the bubble for any Pompey fans travelling to Southampton?
