Woan hails Cotterill

David Cotterill has made an immediate impact at Portsmouth following his lively debut on Saturday. The winger, who only completed his loan move to Fratton Park from Swansea 24 hour earlier, was instrumental as Pompey secured a 1-0 win over Barnsley. A late header from veteran substitute Kanu secured a first home victory since October. And coach Ian Woan was impressed with Cotterill's performance as Pompey made it back-to-back wins following last week`s success at Doncaster. "I thought David Cotterill did well thrown in at the deep end," said Woan. "There were four or five good crosses into the box that our strikers have been crying out for. He worked hard and it was a bright start for him, considering he hasn't played for a while."
