Ryan Williams has sealed his transfer from to Fulham with the youngster signing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Cottagers.
The fee is reported to be around £500,000 as Pompey look to raise funds to pay the outstanding tax bill.
It's disappointing to lose a young talent but the bottom line is Williams barely featured for the first team this season and should't harm Michael Appleton's plans too much.
All we know is that the 18-year-old has pace but we haven't seen enough of him to make a proper judgement. Who knows? We may have lost a gem on the cheap or Williams may turn out to be another prospect whose career descends into the wilderness.
