Portsmouth striker Danny Webber is set to return to action next month after recovering from a serious knee injury. The former Sheffield United forward ruptured his cruciate ligament during Pompey's 2-0 defeat at Tottenham in late March, which has kept him on the sidelines since. However, with the injury healing well the 28-year-old is hoping to return to action soon. "I tore my ACL muscle and also did the cruciate ligament in my knee back at the end of March, but I have been ahead of schedule every step of the recovery process and my knee is feeling really good again," he told skysports.com. "I'm five months down the line now, doing all the exercises required of me, and I have an appointment to see the surgeon in a month's time, so I will get a clear picture of when I can return then. "However, I know that everything has been going well so far and I expect him to be happy with everything."
