Portsmouth striker Danny Webber is hopeful he will be back in action before long as he steps up his recovery from a serious knee injury.[LNB] The former Sheffield United forward ruptured his cruciate ligament during Pompey's 2-0 defeat at Tottenham in late March, which has kept him on the sidelines since.[LNB]However, with the injury healing well the 28-year-old is hoping to return to action soon.[LNB]"I tore my ACL muscle and also did the cruciate ligament in my knee back at the end of March, but I have been ahead of schedule every step of the recovery process and my knee is feeling really good again," he told Sky Sports' website.[LNB]"I'm five months down the line now, doing all the exercises required of me, and I have an appointment to see the surgeon in a month's time, so I will get a clear picture of when I can return then.[LNB]"However, I know that everything has been going well so far and I expect him to be happy with everything."
