Portsmouth captain Dejan Stefanovic says he is keen to stay at Fratton Park beyond the end of his current contract at the end of next season.
The 32-year-old Serbia defender had been linked with a move away from Pompey due to hold-ups in talks over a new contract, but says he wants to stay put and help the club push for a place in Europe.
He told the club's official website: "Since I joined, this club has slowly moved upwards and what we have now is a great team spirit and some great individual players.
"When we win, we win together and it's the same when we lose and that says a lot about the spirit.
"We have one of the best managers in football and I said when first coming here that one day I hoped to play for the club in Europe.
"That's becoming a possibility and there's nothing more that I would like to do in those circumstances than stay here for the rest of my career."
