Upturn in fortunes due - Hreidarsson

Hermann Hreidarsson remains confident Portsmouth will start picking up wins and climbing the Championship table.

Pompey are without a win in 10 games and lie just five points above the drop zone but the Iceland defender, back in the side after a long-term Achilles injury, sees plenty of room for optimism ahead of Saturday's trip to Doncaster.

"If we play well and if we give it a good go, we'll earn our own luck," he said.

"I don't think we've really been outplayed too many times this season.

"I would like to have more points on the board, but I'm confident they'll come.

"We have a small squad but it's a good one. If we can play to every individual's standard then I know that we'll win more games than we'll lose."
