TV date for Stevenage v Pompey
Portsmouth's Carling Cup first-round tie at League Two new boys Stevenage Borough has been chosen for live Sky Sports coverage.[LNB] The match at the Lamex Stadium will be played on Monday August 9 (kick-off 7.45pm).[LNB]It will be the first game played between the two sides, who suffered differing league fortunes in the 2009/10 campaign.[LNB]Stevenage gained promotion to League Two by winning the Blue Square Premier where as financially-troubled Pompey suffered relegation from the Premier League.[LNB]The tie will be Boro's first in the competition while the South Coast side reached the quarter-finals last season.
