Traore - Stay up Pompey

09 April 2009 10:22
On-loan Portsmouth full-back Armand Traore has told skysports.com he is 'very confident' the South Coast club will avoid relegation this season. Pompey find themselves in a tussle at the wrong end of the table after a difficult season that has seen three different managers in charge. Interim boss Paul Hart, though, appears to have steadied the Fratton Park ship, with the side currently four points above the drop zone. And, ahead of a vital home Premier League fixture versus West Brom, Traore, who is on loan from Arsenal, is backing Portsmouth to preserve their top-flight status. Speaking at the Launch of FIFA 09's Ultimate team, he told skysports.com: "I am very confident the club can avoid relegation. I think we will be fine, to be honest. "Portsmouth are a great club. We've shown in the past that we can play football and win games." He added: "It is very important we pick up points against our relegation rivals because the league is so tight. "Clubs like Hull City and Stoke City and us, any win makes a big difference. It is really important." Armand Traore was speaking at the launch of FIFA 09 Ultimate Team - a new strategic online game mode available on Xbox Live and PSN. For more info go to www.fifa09.ea.com/uk
