Portsmouth striker Svetoslav Todorov has hit out after seeing his hopes of earning a new contract at Fratton Park seemingly fall by the wayside.
The 28-year-old Bulgaria international frontman scored twice in three games for Pompey at the start of the season, before being loaned out to Wigan Athletic, where injury limited his opportunities.
However, after returning and being told he could secure a new contract, Todorov now looks to be on his way out of Fratton Park.
He told The News: "Nobody has said anything to me.
"Three weeks ago the manager said I could have a new contract if I wanted, but now he doesn't want to say anything to me.
"Why can't he just come to me? I'm here at training every day. If he wants to talk to other people that's fine, but he should speak to me face-to-face.
"The first I heard that I might not have a future at Pompey was when I read it in the paper at the weekend. It is not easy after all that has happened.
"Look at my record. I've scored goals and we haven't scored a lot of goals lately. I'm just a professional trying to do my job. I love this club and will continue to do the best I can."
Todorov joined Pompey in March 2002 from West Ham and has scored 33 goals in 82 appearances for the South Coast club.
