Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill is unable to loan out youngster Nadir Ciftci due to the lack of depth within his squad. The 18-year-old Dutch winger was a regular in Pompey`s side at the beginning of the campaign but the loan acquisition of Stoke midfielder Liam Lawrence has forced the talented youngster to sit on the sidelines, starting only one of the south-coast club's last 12 games. Cotterill wants to let the player leave Fratton Park on loan in order to regain his match sharpness and pick up vital experience, but he is currently unable to do so with his ranks lacking in numbers. He told the News: "Whenever an injury kicks in it's a problem for us. We have to change our system or we're down to just our young boys coming on. "If anything happens to our wide men, we're down to Nadir Ciftci. All of a sudden Nadir hasn't played for a couple of months and he would have lost fitness without a shadow of a doubt. "We need him to go out on loan for a month, run around and get his fitness. That's what I want to do, but we haven't got that luxury."
