Portsmouth midfielder David Thompson has distanced himself from rumours linking him with a loan move to Leeds United.
The former Blackburn Rovers, Wigan and Coventry City wideman has made just two starts since arriving at Fratton Park on a free transfer in the summer.
New Leeds boss Dennis Wise was keen to land the former Liverpool trainee on loan, but Thompson insists he wants to stay and fight for his place at Pompey.
"I don't want to leave the club," he said. "There has been talk of me leaving but it hasn't come from my side.
"I don't want to get off now and be seen as a failure.
"I don't want this to be the first club I've ever failed at. I've always achieved things."
