The Opposition View: Leicester City

Harry Gregory once again answers some questions ahead of the New Year's Eve clash.

It's safe to assume that this season hasn't met the expectations of Leicester fans. Are you still hopeful of a play-off spot or is this season now a write-off? Personally I have wrote it off because we're three or four short of a decent team and to bring that amount of players requires a bedding-in period. However, you never know with this division. Are there any ideas on who your club might be bringing in come January? May I suggest you take Liam Lawrence from us? He's an outstanding player, honest. That's the sort of player we've gone out and bought this year. Plays well in the odd game on telly and gets loads of applauds but is an arrogant, over-rated player.

The two players we've been linked with are Billy Sharp and Andros Townsend which I don't think we'll get but we do need a striker and a winger or two...I am hoping Pearson can find some Eastern European creative midfielder who can actually beat a man with skill and spot a pass. What did you think of the match between Pompey and Leicester at Fratton Park last month? Fair result it was and was probably the last game of football I really enjoyed being at. Basically both teams attacked at particular points and gave each other the runaround. Nugent's equaliser was rather forunate in it's timing as we were the poorer side in the second half yet the better side in the first. I throughly enjoyed my day in Pompey.

Is David Nugent still hailed as your best signing so far this campaign? Ever since bagging at Fratton, he's gone off the boil. The general verdict is that Kasper Schmeichel looks the most wise investment. What sort of match are you expecting this time round? I presume you'll be confident of beating a Pompey team who have only won once on the road since beating your lot back in March? I keep expecting some sort of backlash for our recent poor form but I am not confident that we will do it. It's been a long time since we beat someone comfortably. It's worth reminding Pompey fans we gave Bristol City their first away win in donkey's years back in August. Predict the outcome of the game. 2-1 to Leicester
