Sven eyes managerial return

Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed he is hoping to land a new managerial role this summer. Former England and Manchester City boss Eriksson is currently out of work after he was sacked from his position in charge of Mexico in April. The Swede was linked with the vacant post at Portsmouth but prospective owner on the South Coast, Sulaiman Al-Fahim, has said Eriksson is not on his shortlist. Eriksson remains hopeful of returning to management and fresh reports in Friday's press suggest he could be set for Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon. He said in The Sun: "I want to be a part of a club next season."
