Sulaiman al-Fahim has bought Portsmouth a week after the businessman's buyout appeared to have fallen through. His spokesman said in a statement that Al-Fahim Asia Associates Ltd. would become the sole owner of the Premier League club. Al-Fahim joined the Pompey board last month when the Premier League approved his takeover, but amid uncertainty about the deal chief executive Peter Storrie began negotiating to buy the club. Spokesman Ivo Ilic Gabara said in the Portsmouth News that Al-Fahim'looks forward to helping the club build on its impressive history andachieve new successes in the Premier League.' Several players, including Peter Crouch, have been sold to meet debt payments.
