// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie says the club are not planning an approach to sign Egyptian striker Amr Zaki in January.[LNB] Zaki, who undertook a mixed loan spell at Wigan Athletic last season, has repeatedly been linked with Pompey and was tipped for a move to Fratton Park before the close of the summer transfer window.[LNB]Former Pompey owner, and now non-executive chairman, Sulaiman Al Fahim had lined up a deal to bring Zaki to the club and is reported to still want the powerful front man.[LNB]The 26-year-old has also claimed that he has spoken to Al Fahim with regard to Pompey making a fresh offer to his current club Zamalek in the New Year.[LNB]However, Storrie is unaware of any plans that Al Fahim, who now holds a 10 per cent stake in the club, has to sign Zaki and doubts the player will end up on the South Coast.[LNB]"That's news to us, we know nothing about it," Storrie told The News.[LNB]"It is nothing to do with us. It seems other people have got involved in all of this.[LNB]"It's probably just the player's agent talking again - that's usually the case."[LNB]
