Sven Goran Eriksson's personal manager Athole Still believes that the Swede should never have taken charge of Mexico.[LNB] The former England manager was sacked as head coach of Mexico after the 3-1 defeat to Honduras in midweek.[LNB]The result leaves the national team fourth in their World Cup qualifying group with three points from three games.[LNB]Eriksson endured a turbulent spell in charge but his representative is confident that he will make a swift return to management.[LNB]"We discussed it and I think the big decision for Sven was getting back into the World Cup and going to South Africa," he told Sky Sports News.[LNB]"Also because his son works in soccer schools over there and Sven is connected so there were family issues there.[LNB]"But I felt that he should have stayed in Europe. [LNB]Opportunity"I did have the opportunity of one major club that was interested in him but he fancied the challenge of going to Mexico and that was his decision to make."[LNB]Still did no't rule out Eriksson returning to take over another international team but predicted that his next managerial post would be with a major club.[LNB]"I wouldn't rule it out, he likes challenges and if the right job came up he might go for another international team again," he added.[LNB]"I suspect his next job will be a major club."[LNB]During his short stay in charge of the Mexicans, Eriksson was strongly tipped to take over at Portsmouth but Still insists that there has been no further approach from Fratton Park officials.[LNB]"There have been no discussions with Portsmouth," he revealed.[LNB]"There has been no contact with Portsmouth since the original contact and I don't know whether Portsmouth would still be a possibility."[LNB]
