Portsmouth have wrapped up the signing of England centre-half Sol Campbell on a two-year contract, following his departure from Arsenal earlier this summer.
Campbell decided to move on after five years with the Gunners, where he made nearly 200 first-team appearances, marking his final outing with a goal in the Champions League final defeat by Barcelona in May.
The 31-year-old moved to Highbury from north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer in the summer of 2001.
Campbell made over 300 appearances for Spurs, while he has also been a mainstay in the England team in recent times, having made his debut back in 1996 against Hungary.
He has won 69 international caps to date and has been part of the squads for the last three World Cup finals tournaments.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp had earlier said of Campbell: "He will bring great experience, he's a good player. I still think he has a great deal to offer.
"He is a good player, a real strong character and just the type we need."
