Smith sets goal target
Portsmouth forward Tommy Smith is determined to transform his side's dismal goal record.
Pompey have taken just three points from their opening nine games and have the worst strike rate in England's top flight.
On-loan duo Aruna Dindane and Frederic Piquionne have been heavily criticised for such a serious goal drought, with neither having scored a league goal so far this term.
Smith, though, believes things will improve for Pompey who are rock-bottom of the Premier League table.
The former Watford front man, who scored 17 times for the Hornets last season, insists the goals will come.

"I'd like to get off the mark. I came here in great form and I had a great season in front of goal last year.
"I got a couple this year before I came, so it would be nice to get one and I'm sure that would start the ball rolling."
Pompey are favourites to be relegated this season following their shocking start under boss Paul Hart.
Although disappointed by such predictions, Smith believes that being the underdogs can sometimes have its advantages.
"It's hard," he admitted. "But on the other hand it drives you as well because people are writing you off and expecting you to lose.
"We want to get out of the bottom three - not just get out of bottom spot.
"It's something we're aiming to do and we don't want a big gap between ourselves and the rest of the table - that is important."
