Sanchez backing for Diop

Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez has reassured Papa Bouba Diop that he is still wanted at Craven Cottage and is an integral part of his plans for the coming season.
The Senegal international came close to leaving the Cottagers during the January transfer window last season with Wigan Athletic his likely destination.
But the 29-year-old decided to stay in London and Sanchez believes the powerful midfielder will play a major part in his plans this term.
"I've seen Papa Bouba Diop play over the years and he has all the attributes to be a top-class midfielder," he told the club's official website.
"Physically, ability-wise, his engine, the strength - many years ago when he came over I thought he would be the next Vieira - he had all those qualities.
"There's no reason why Bouba can't get himself up to being one of the best centre midfield players in the Premiership and that's where I see his long-term position."
Diop joined the Cottagers from French club Lens three years ago and has made 82 first-team appearances.
