Redknapp targets fifth place

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has set his sights on a fifth-placed finish after Tuesday's 1-0 victory at West Ham United.

Niko Kranjcar's second-half winner moved Pompey to within four points of Everton and afterwards Redknapp challenged his players to topple the Merseysiders from their fifth-placed perch.

Their ninth away win of the season came hard on the heels of the buoyant south coast club booking their place in the FA Cup Final at the weekend.

"We're just going to try and win all our games and there are some decent fixtures left," said a content Redknapp after masterminding victory at one of his former clubs.

"There's certainly no let-up after reaching the Cup final on Saturday. I didn't have to do a lot with the boys to keep them going tonight.

"It's been a good week. You just hope that on the back of reaching a final you can still keep going and the lads did great.

"I took West Ham to fifth spot once when I was here and it would be nice to do the same with Portsmouth.

"We've come a long way in the last few years. I've come back three times here and won now and the buzz is still as great."
